STATE THE OBJECTIVES
AFTER THIS LESSON, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
Given a worksheet with 5 items to purchase, the second grade students will fill in space with how many coins/ dollar bills are need to purchase the item, they will complete it using only coins one day, and the second they will combine the use of coins and bills, they will complete all five tables correctly.
The 2nd grade students will apply the information learned in the money power point to count up, using coins and dollar bills as units, to a set amount of money provided by the counting money online game, they will complete at least 5 different totals.
Given money counting worksheets, the student will successfully complete 4 worksheets, with a 70 percent accuracy.

UTILIZATION OF METHODS, MEDIA AND MATERIALS:
Pencil and Paper will be used to solve the worksheets.
Microsoft PowerPoint will be used to introduce students to the value of each coin and dollar bill, as well as the difference between heads and deals on a coin.
Counting Online Interactive Game will allow students to apply what they learned in the power point, in a hands one setting.
Money Counting Worksheets will be used to assist students in comprehending value of money.
LEARNER PARTICIPATION
Students will learn through active engagement, they are required to participate in all activities.
MONDAY:
1. Money PowerPoint part one will be presented, it will cover value of coins, and the difference between heads and tails.
2. Students will complete money 2 counting worksheets.
3. Students will then complete the online counting activity, completing at least 5 of the problems.
4. Students will work on the worksheet provided; only using coins.
TUESDAY:
1. Money PowerPoint part two will be presented, it will cover the value of $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills.
2. Students will complete 1 counting worksheet.
3. Students will then complete the online counting activity, completing at least 5 problems.
4. Students will work on the worksheet provided, this time combining coins and dollars bills to reach their total.
EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT
I will be assessing the second grade student's learning through the worksheets provided, along with the counting online game.
The online counting game will be out of 25 points; each question will be worth 5 points, 2.5pts for effort, and 2.5pts for correctness. Completing the game on day 1 will count as a different grade as completing the game on day 2.
The money counting worksheets will each be worth 5 points, if they students completes the worksheet with a 70 percent accuracy rate, they will receive the 5 points, if they do not they will receive no points.
The math word problem will be out of 25 points as well, 10 points for effort, 7.5 points for the correct sum of money need, and 7.5 points for the correct number of coins/ bills needed. Completing the word problem on day 1 will count as a different grade as completing the word problem on day 2.
The total assignment will be out of 115 points.
